A study done by United Health Care has determined that volunteering is good for both emotional and physical health of the volunteer. This is an unexpected benefit of volunteer activities. All the while I’ve thought volunteering only helps the persons targeted to be helped by the organizations, but alas I was wrong and it helps physically and emotionally all involved.
