Embarking on Enchantment: The 10 Best Activities to Do on Magic Mushrooms

Psilocybin mushrooms, also known as magic mushrooms, have been used for centuries in spiritual and recreational contexts. Their psychoactive properties can induce altered states of consciousness, with effects including vivid visualizations, introspection, and a heightened sense of unity with nature. However, it’s essential to note that magic mushrooms are not legal everywhere and should be used responsibly and within the bounds of the law. If you’re planning a magic mushroom trip, here are ten activities that can enrich your experience.

1. Nature Exploration

Much like cannabis, psilocybin mushrooms can deepen your connection with the natural world. A walk in a park or forest, or simply spending time in a garden, can become a profound and awe-inspiring experience. The intricate patterns in nature can become mesmerizing, and you might find a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.

2. Listening to Music

Listening to music on a psilocybin trip can be a deeply emotional and intense experience. The altered state of consciousness can lead to a heightened perception of music, allowing you to connect with the sound on a deeper level. It’s recommended to prepare a playlist of your favorite soothing tracks beforehand.

3. Drawing or Painting

The enhanced visual experiences and heightened imagination can make drawing or painting an extraordinary activity during a magic mushroom trip. This can be a great outlet to express the vivid imagery and complex emotions that can occur during the experience.

4. Meditating

Meditation and magic mushrooms can be a powerful combination. The mushrooms can facilitate a deep introspective journey, allowing for profound self-discovery and spiritual growth. Meditating during a magic mushroom trip can help guide the experience in a positive direction and promote a sense of inner peace.

5. Writing or Journaling

Writing or journaling during a psilocybin trip can help document the experience and provide insights that may be useful later. It can also be a therapeutic activity, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a profound and meaningful way.

6. Yoga

Much like meditation, yoga can be a grounding and tranquil activity to practice during a magic mushroom trip. The heightened body awareness can allow for a deeper connection with your physical being and promote a sense of inner peace and balance.

7. Watching Visual Art

Looking at art, whether it’s paintings, sculptures, or digital creations, can be a captivating experience while on magic mushrooms. The colors, patterns, and emotions conveyed by the artwork can be deeply engaging and stir profound thoughts and feelings.

8. Sensory Play

Engaging with tactile objects such as playdough, sand, or even water can be a fascinating activity during a magic mushroom trip. The altered perception can make the sensory play experience intense and enjoyable.

9. Stargazing

Like with cannabis, stargazing during a psilocybin trip can be a profound experience. The awe-inspiring vastness of the cosmos can evoke a deep sense of unity with the universe.

10. Simply Being

Sometimes, the best activity during a magic mushroom trip is simply to be. Lie back on a comfortable couch or sit in a peaceful spot in nature, close your eyes, and let the experience take you where it will.

Conclusion

These activities can greatly enhance a magic mushroom trip, but remember that the experience is highly personal and varies significantly from person to person. Always ensure you’re in a safe, comfortable environment and have a sober friend you trust to accompany you. Magic mushrooms should be used responsibly and within the legal limits of your location. Enjoy your journey of self-discovery and profound connection!

Great blog post! I loved reading about the different activities that can enrich a magic mushroom trip. My question is, have you personally tried any of these activities during a psilocybin trip?

Thanks! I’ve certainly tried all these activities while tripping on psilocybin 🙂 What is your favorite?

I don’t use drugs to enjoy my life. Spending time outdoors I find exciting enough and have found no need to alter my existing state.

Very cool. Is it true you don’t use any drugs, though? You don’t drink coffee or tea? You don’t exercise? You don’t watch movies/shows? You don’t partake in sex? All these alter brain chemistry in profound and significant ways and are “drugs.”
I don’t think I would say I use substances to enjoy my life, but rather, to experience states of being that would be otherwise inaccessible to everyday experience. If you have no desire to experience other states of being and modes of existence, all good 🙂

OK, point taken. I don’t use any illicit drugs. The ones the body produces such as adrenaline, endorphins, etc. I don’t think count. Even readin changes the way you think so I suppose that is also a “drug”. Thanks for your reply.
